Im.. Leaving?

Post by iWolfyPlays on 5/28/2016, 5:12 pm

Yes, its right.
Im going to be leaving Oasis unless someone convinces me to stay real good.
This server is fun and all, but it frustrates me alot and a lot of times I have no where to build, nothing to build with, or no one to play with. I feel like sometimes I am a third wheel, and I dont want to feel like that anymore.
Im leaving Oasis, but if you convince me, I'll stay.

Bye everyone.

Its like a 16k by 16k or something map that has only been active for a few months or so

How is there nowhere to build? Serious question

I have certain areas where I want to build and sometimes they're taken or just not my type of style. @izumi4kona

If youre going to be a picky and petty about things then maybe you need some time to think about things yourself, champ. For starters, its a very open community. If you feel like a third wheel its only because you arent getting actively involved in anything. As far as having nowhere or nothing to build, then just LOOK AROUND. Its Minecraft dude. Have a wander. Dont get all hung up on the perfect spot.

If youre going to leave such a community as this over such childish things as that, I dont see any reason to convince you to stay. Cry for attention denied, son. No sympathy from me.

I dont care if you dont have sympathy for me. This isnt the first time things like this have happened with you, so really I dont care. You have opinions and I have opinions, but if its a bad opinion, lemme say one thing: please dont share it.

During my time on the server, both allowed and the opposite, I have found thousands of wide open areas, whether it be in ice spikes, forests, deserts, and mountains. There has to be some other underlying cause to why you want to leave. The /rtp command was fixed for public use for a reason, and sometimes you have to use it a few times before coming across the spot you want. Before my ban I had reached something close to 962 mining in under two weeks. I didn't do that by sticking to the same spot. Rtp helps, you've gotta trust me on that. I know promotions were today, I've got some experience handling things like that when they didn't go the way I planned. If you need to talk, message me; I've been around a very long time.

CanWeChill

Tbh I've had a build rut lately, so I get not feeling like areas are your style no matter how many times you /rtp. Ive tried to start building several times this past week, got into it, and decided I wasn't crazy about how it was going. Either  destroyed it or set a home at for later.

If you are feeling things have gotten stale a break may help. Or even doing something ingame different than what you normally do. Sometimes I'll put music on and mine for a few hours, or go look for a cave system. Touring towns and warps can be fun and inspiring sometimes. Farming, fishing, etc.

@ the thirdwheel thing - you could take a break from people - find things to do that make you happy. Or, you could chat up some people you dont normally talk to like old friends or new players. They might even end up helping you later, even if you are not sure you like them. Tfw I met some of my closest friends on here through salty disagreements (Mary, Kiashi, Rigo etc)

Best of luck whatever you decide to do

Sorry for typos, on mobile, trying to proofread best I can

Edit: -waves hi to above- ninja'd .v.

Its not even that I dont like you or anything, kiddo, its the reasons youve given for leaving. In all honesty, it just looks like you want someone to tell you why youre so great and shouldnt leave. Ive seen many a goodbye post in the past few years and this is not a good one. You specifically even SAY

Can you see why that would rub someone the wrong way? Its an amazing community youre abandoning here simply because things arent going your way.

Take a break if you need to, champ. Just dont go around trying to make others responsible for you and your decisions.

WolfyPlaysMC, I understand your feelings and just want to let you know it would mean a lot to Oasis and the staff if you would stay. If you need somewhere to build just ask one of us and we can find you a big plot of land. Our map is 10k by 10k and im 100% we could find you a nice place to build. I have always thought of you as a friend and hope you still think that. Im not sure why you feel like you do but I can tell you that its not true. I hope you consider staying with us and if you need to talk to someone, you are more then welcome to talk to me!

I think everything has been said that needs to be said in this thread so I am going to go ahead and lock it.
