What have you done this Summer?

Post by Mr_Big_Mac_Joe on 7/25/2013, 2:59 pm

I saw a post about someone's Summer events and got an idea. How  about we say what we all have done this Summer and see how diverse Oasis really is.

Besides the normal forum rules I only have one rule to add - You can not say you have played Minecraft.
We already know that, lol.

I will go first -

I went to Six Flags over Georgia with the family, spent lots of time with the family at home and just recently got into Goecaching (lots of fun).

I went with my church's youth group to the Sonshine Festival.  The Sonshine festival is a Christian music festival that has music that is church style, Christian hip hop, Christian rock, or Christian heavy metal, Christian country, Christian pop, and pretty much any music genres there are.  There is the Main Stage, along with the HM Stage (HM standing for Heavy Metal), the Debut Stage, and the Indoor Stage, along with concessions and vendors.  It is a concert that you camp at from Wednesday July 17 till Saturday July 20.  It is held in Willmar, Minnesota.  They play the music from 2:00 PM until midnight each day.  This has been happening annually, and this is the 32nd strait year they did this.  There are thousands and thousands of people who come.

Christian shouldn't mingle with music. The result is always disapointing.

Well, I'm going to New York in two weeks... Yeah. That's about it.

I didn't really do much this summer, but I think the best thing I did this summer was spend time with my cousins (ericcanam and his family). We had a pretty good time! That's about it...

I don't want to start a big argument or anything, but what you said up there is a complete lie.  I bet you have not even heard most Christian music, so please don't judge it.  And btw, Christian music isn't only the very slow, church style music, there is also pop, hip hop, rock, and others.
